Our Story

Our story began on July 5, 2019 when Lauren, with her love of music…especially ’90s rock, tagged along with her good friend Carla to see a band at the Salt Shack in Cedar Beach, Long Island. Knowing the singer, Phil, Carla saw it fit to make an introduction exactly 20 seconds after the band’s first break. Before Phil could catch his breathe and exit the stage and before Lauren had a chance to say no, Carla pulled Lauren right up to Phil, and made the introduction and said “We’re doin’ this!”

The first date (that Lauren didn’t know was a date) happened a few days later. On the the second date we spent 18 hours together hiking Mohonk Mountain and falling in love in our hiking gear over food and drinks at Huckleberry’s in New Paltz. Within the next few weeks and months we had gone to concerts, attended two weddings, traveled to New Orleans, Portland Maine, and Disney for New Years Eve.

Everything just felt right and we knew that we had found the love we both deserved.

Although most of our time together has been spent being tested by a pandemic and lockdowns, we have managed to make an incredible amount of amazing memories doing all of the things we love.
